About this app

Joulupukin tervehdys makes a personal video greeting from Santa for a child. An adult makes the greeting, and the child watches it on Christmas Eve. The app works in Finnish and English. Each language has its own voice for Santa.

This is how you make a greeting:

• Type the first name of the child. If Santa has a recording of the name, he says it out loud. If not, he says "Hello, my little friend!" and the name shows on the screen.
• Add the age of the child if you want to.
• Pick what the child loves, for example drawing, games, sports, animals, music, building or books.
• Pick one thing that Santa praises, for example "has been a good friend to others".
• Pick how the greeting ends, for example a look out of the window for a star.
• Watch the greeting yourself, then make the link.

On Christmas Eve, open the link on a phone or a tablet. Turn the sound on and give the device to the child.

The greeting holds only the first name of the child and your choices. This data is inside the link only, and the app keeps nothing on a server. You do not need an account. Santa does not promise gifts and says nothing scary.
